Move-out clean
Also known as: end-of-tenancy clean, vacancy clean
Comprehensive cleaning service performed when residents vacate a property. Designed to meet landlord/realtor cleanliness standards for security deposit recovery or property sale prep.
Move-out cleaning is a specialized service performed at the end of a residential tenancy or before a property sale. The scope is more comprehensive than a standard deep clean: empty interior of all appliances, inside cabinets and drawers, window tracks, door frames, baseboards, light fixtures, ceiling fans, behind appliances if movable.
The customer base is split: tenants paying for move-out cleaning to recover security deposits, landlords paying between tenants, and homeowners preparing for sale. Each has different expectations and price sensitivity. Tenant-paid move-out cleans are typically $200-$500 for a one-bedroom apartment, $400-$800 for a 3-bedroom home; sale-prep cleans run higher because the bar is open-house-ready.
For cleaning operators, move-out cleans are profitable but volatile work — bookings concentrate at month-end (lease cycles), require scheduling flexibility, and demand consistent quality (a missed area triggers customer disputes about deposit recovery). Many operators accept move-out work selectively, prioritizing recurring maintenance customers over one-off move-outs during busy periods.

Green cleaning
Cleaning service using non-toxic, biodegradable, or certified-eco products. Higher cost, lower chemical exposure for residents, growing customer demand particularly among families with children or pets.
